Online retailers planning to expand into physical stores

One in six small and medium-sized online retailers plan to expand into physical stores in 2014, according to a survey by Royal Mail. Of the 400 online retailers surveyed, 15% also said they planned to trade via online marketplaces such as eBay and Amazon. New Copyright Hub

Government funding of £150,000 to create a Copyright Hub website, which will provide information on rights ownership and copyright licences has been announced by Intellectual Property (IP) minister Lord Younger. Freelancers on the Rise

The number of freelancers in the UK grew by 12% from 1.4 million in 2008 to 1.56 million in 2011, according to figures released by Kingston University and the Professional Contractors Group (PCG) for National Freelancers Day.
